They keep popping up everywhere. Since the decision to legalize the sale of cannabidiol (CBD), a substance derived from cannabis, CBD shops have been multiplying across France. The latest example is in Coignières, where the specialized store Lord of CBD opened in mid-September near the Domexpo exhibition center.
Since last May, the manager, Yasmina El Farik, had already been selling her hemp and CBD-based products on her website. Before long, she decided to open her own store in response to customer demand. "We weren't planning on opening a shop right away," she admits. "But the demand was so high that we sped things up."
CBD has an effect on anxiety, stress, pain…
According to the person in charge of the premises, CBD has many therapeutic benefits.
"The molecule has many benefits. CBD will act on anxiety, stress, pain. Some take a few drops in their herbal tea, for their sleep or chronic pain," says Yasmina, originally from Elancourt.
"It's laboratory tested. There is no THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) in the product, so there is no addictive or psychotropic effect. People don't get high after taking CBD," she reassured.
Cosmetics, herbal teas, sublingual oils (to be placed under the tongue), food… Yasmina offers a whole range of products under her own brand. You can find olive oil, tea, anti-aging lotion , and even oils for dogs and cats. “We work with European producers (Spain, Denmark, etc.),” explains the manager.
"If it works, why not expand and open other stores?" Yasmina concludes.
