Who can sell CBD?

Everyone! There are no special procedures to follow to sell CBD in France. The business doesn't require any specific training , and you won't need to demonstrate any prior knowledge to launch your activity. The only requirement is that you register with the RCS (French Trade and Companies Register) as a CBD . If you choose to open a physical store, you'll need to purchase a cash register to document your sales to the tax authorities, just like any other retail business.

What legal status is required to become a CBD reseller?

However, some legal statuses remain more common than others:

Self-employed/Micro-enterprise: the simplest status, but the ceilings are low for a profitable sector like the sale of CBD.

SARL: it limits the liability of the partners, can be created by a single partner (single-member SARL or EURL) and offers the possibility of opening up its capital.

SAS: more expensive to create and operate, the Simplified Joint-Stock Company is also more flexible, with limited risks and the possibility for managers to receive dividends not subject to social security contributions.
