Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabiphorol, or THCP, is a cannabinoid closely related to THC and present in very low concentrations in the cannabis plant.
According to the researchers who discovered it, THCP interacts with the endocannabinoid system in a similar way to THC, but with a much greater affinity for cannabinoid receptors. Research has shown that THCP binds to CB1 receptors up to 33 times more often than traditional THC, meaning that THCP could potentially be up to 33 times more potent than THC.
THCP is unique because of its longer alkyl side chains: the chain of carbon atoms is much longer than that of traditional THC (seven carbons versus five carbons). This enables the cannabinoid to bind more firmly to receptors throughout the body. As a result, a much smaller amount of THCP is needed to influence various functions regulated by the endocannabinoid system (ECS) to have the same effect as THC.
Infusions of Lemon Haze THCP flowers are an excellent way to benefit from its potentially soothing effects. As each individual reacts differently, it's advisable to experiment to determine the quantity that suits you best. Feel free to add a personal touch to your infusion by incorporating spices or aromatic herbs such as vanilla, mint, chamomile or cinnamon.
If you want to avoid the addictive effects of nicotine, you can smoke Lemon Haze THCP flowers unmixed with tobacco. It's often best to combine them with other plants, such as sage, to make the most of their potential effects.
Vaporization is a popular method of consumption for Lemon Haze THCP flowers. It offers high bioavailability, meaning that THCP's effects are generally felt faster and more intensely than by infusion or CBD oil. However, regulations concerning cannabinoids can vary from country to country.
