Thanks to Arthur for testing our products and these effects on ADHD. Here is his return:
Lord Of CBD sent me several products to test and see if the effects of CBD have any noticeable effects on my ADHD. I was able to try them during the last 5 months and I can therefore give you feedback with hindsight. The information I will share in the first part of this article will be official information on the effects of CBD on ADHD, and then I will share my own experience on the products I was able to test in the second part of this article.
Who am I, and why did I want to try CBD?
My name is Arthur Jasinski, I created the company “L’éveil du ADHD” with the aim of helping and supporting people who, like me, have an attention disorder to live better with their ADHD. daily. ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects 5.9% of children and 2.5% of adults. People with ADHD may have difficulty concentrating on a task for an extended period of time, following directions, completing tasks, and getting organized. They may also be impulsive and restless, and have difficulty sitting still. The causes of ADHD are a mixture of genetic and environmental factors. ADHD can be treated with medications, behavioral therapies, and compensation strategies.
I've heard a lot about CBD and a number of people who follow ADHD Awakening have asked me what I think about using CBD for ADHD. So I tested it and I'm going to share my feelings with you.
Studies on CBD and ADHD: what do the results say?
CBD, or cannabidiol, is a compound found in cannabis that has been shown to have potential medicinal properties in the treatment of many health conditions, including ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). However, it should be noted that studies on the effects of CBD on ADHD are still limited and further research is needed to better understand this potential use of CBD.
There have been some preliminary studies that have examined the use of CBD to treat ADHD in humans and animals. For example, a study published in 2020 examined the effect of CBD on rats with ADHD and found that CBD had positive effects on hyperactivity and short-term memory deficits associated with ADHD. However, this study was small-scale and further research is needed to confirm these results.
There have also been some studies on the use of CBD to treat ADHD in humans. For example, a 2020 study examined the effect of CBD on ADHD symptoms in 10 adults with ADHD. The results showed that CBD could reduce symptoms of hyperactivity and impulsivity associated with ADHD, but had no effect on attention deficits. However, this was a small-scale study and further research is needed to confirm these results.
My Experience with CBD for Managing ADHD Symptoms
The Lord of CBD sent me some herbal teas, oils, and other products for me to test. Personally, I have not felt that CBD has a direct impact on ADHD symptoms. However, as someone who is quite anxious, I felt benefits in this regard. I felt more relaxed when using these products, which allowed me to be less in my thoughts and therefore probably less distracted by them.
Then I noticed an impact on my sleep. Indeed, my ADHD (and probably my anxiety) tend to make me think constantly. This mental hyperactivity tires me out a lot and can prevent me from falling asleep. CBD oil in the evening, I have seen improvements in this regard.
For the sensations I felt, there are several. First of all, I had the impression of being more relaxed and more serene, without the product making me fall asleep. CBD did not alter my normal functioning, which was one of my fears when I wanted to test CBD products.
CBD and ADHD: what are the next challenges to overcome?
In summary, there is preliminary evidence that CBD may have positive effects on some ADHD symptoms, but further research is needed to better understand this potential use of CBD.
For my part, the CBD products that I tested did not have a direct impact on ADHD symptoms. However, I feel like they have helped me fall asleep more easily and manage my thoughts better, which has had a positive impact on my well-being .
It is important to note that CBD is not a cure-all and does not replace treatments recommended by a doctor.
